Bath Remodel: Fairview Ridge Lane, Apex, NC

This was the second bathroom at a home on Fairview Ridge Lane in Apex, a tub-and-shower bath that had aged past the point where a new faucet and a coat of paint would fix it. The homeowners wanted it rebuilt cleanly, with a tile shower, better storage in the shower itself, and light where there had never been enough.

Abdallah and the crew took the room down to the framing where it mattered. The old tub came out and a new one went in, with porcelain tile running up the shower walls and a built-in niche for shampoo and soap so nothing sits on the tub edge. The same porcelain tile covers the floor. A semi-frameless glass door replaced the curtain, which opens up the room visually and is easier to keep clean. A new vanity, along with matching accessories like the towel bars and paper holder, finished the fixtures.

Lighting was a small change with a big effect. The shower never had its own light, so the crew added a canless LED overhead, and the old fixture above the vanity was swapped for a new one. Drywall was patched where the old tile and fixtures had been, and the whole room was painted.

It's a straightforward bathroom remodel done all the way through, and the kind of project that makes a secondary bath feel like it belongs to the same house as the rest of the updates.
